Hi, I'm Joshua.

Joshua Mesnik is an American film producer & director, actor, and educator. He was born and raised in Naples, Florida, and has been impersonating dolphins ever since he first met them in the water. He lives playfully and passionately, dives deep, and leaps high for air.

Throughout his childhood, he created many films that luckily never made it to YouTube. He graduated from Florida State University, where he was a longtime member of the campus favorite "30in60" Sketch Comedy Troupe, performing in live shows to large audiences and producing comedic shorts online.

With a degree in advertising, he changed gears and studied anthropology in Ecuador, living with an indigenous community on the edge of the rainforest. Soon after, Joshua moved to New York City to partner with Open Future Institute, and pilot their innovative education program, The QUESTion Project, with students and teachers in NYC. The project has now been taught to over 14,000 students across NYC and LA, and Joshua gave a TEDx Talk on it.

When opportunities mounted, he moved to Los Angeles to continue his career as a filmmaker: writing, directing, and starring in award-winning short films, and working as stunt coordinator and producer on independent films.

As a martial artist, Joshua practices Tai Chi, Wing Chun, JKD, Karate, Taekwondo, and Kick Boxing. He is trained in using weapons for film including Katana, Escrima/Kali, Nunchaku, short sword/shield, and Bo Staff. He has studied with the Inosanto Academy (Dan Inosanto), XMA (Mike Chat), and Stunts in Motion (Jack Huang).

He has a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurial Producing and Innovation from the New York Film Academy and is passionate about developing impactful films for purpose-driven individuals and organizations.
